The Tokyo Disney Resort is back open. The theme parks welcomed back guests on July 1st, for the first time since the park was locked down due to the coronavirus. Upon reopening, Tokyo Disney has implemented a series of enhanced health and safety guidelines in accordance with local government guidance.
Capacity of the park is limited, with enhanced cleaning procedures in place. Physical distancing is being promoted throughout the resort, to ensure guests aren’t coming into unnecessary contact with one another. Disney has released a video marking the reopening, with a special sunrise. To view the video, click here.

Some new attractions are set to land at Tokyo Disney Resort, including a Beauty and the Beast area and ride. The latest expansion will be the largest at the Tokyo Resort since its opening. Fantasyland, Toontown, and Tomorrowland will all be part of the expansion, including new attractions, theatre entertainment and restaurants.
Fantasyland will be the home of a new Fantasyland Forest Theatre, while Tomorrowland will boast a new ride, ‘The Happy Ride with Baymax’, based on the film ‘Big Hero 6.’ Toontown will give guests the opportunity to visit ‘Minnie’s Style Studio.’
