A new attraction based on the popular Bourne film series is coming to Universal Studios in Orlando. ‘The Bourne Stuntacular’ is currently in the technical rehearsal stage, and fans of the film series and theme park are already starting to get excited. A new video has been released, giving viewers at home a sneak peek of the new stunt show.
The stunt show combines storytelling, extreme stunts, new technology and effects to fully immerse visitors into the world of Jason Bourne. The new video released by the theme park features a behind the scenes look at the show, and how it comes to life, along with interviews from the team behind the attraction.
Cutting edge technology is a major theme within the show. Pinpoint accurate projection mapping will project images on top of moving scenes, blurring the lines between live-action and pre-recorded cinematography. The show features a 3,640 square foot LED screen, one of the largest structures created for a show at Universal. The intricate manoeuvres have taken eight months of rehearsals to perfect, including a 22 feet free fall.
Filmmakers from the Bourne film series have helped to develop the new attraction, with an all-new storyline. “It was so rewarding to work closely with the Universal Orlando team to create an experience that is authentic to the Bourne films,” said Frank Marshall, Producer of the Bourne franchise.
“After watching the show several times and providing the team with creative input, I can truly say The Bourne Stuntacular not only stays true to the essence of the films but also delivers next-level action that will make guests feel like they are by Jason Bourne’s side.”
As visitors enter the show they are greeted by props, images and clips from the film series, including Jason Bourne’s motorcycle from ‘The Bourne Ultimatum.’ The show will take guests across three continents as they follow Jason Bourne in action.
