Social distancing success for haunting Manchester drive-in cinema

As we live through a pandemic Halloween 2020 maybe somewhat different to other years. Trick-or-treating with the kids, partying with pals and horror movie nights with mates maybe off the cards – but that isn’t Park ‘n’ Party ramping up the spooktacular fun in the build up to this unique Halloween.

Drive-thru visitor experiences have somewhat become a saving grace for social distancing entertainment, with Park ‘n’ Party launching ScareCity – a super cream-worthy cinema which is proving hugely popular amongst Mancunians.

ScareCity provides a spooky safe experience from guests’ own vehicle

Based at Event City close to the Trafford Centre, ScareCity invites those who are brave enough to enjoy (or endure) a spine-tingling horror classic or brand-new blockbuster from the comfort of their own car on the big screen.

To enhance the immersive movie chills, visitors can expect to encounter terrifying actors and pulse-racing props – which are guaranteed to provide plenty of frights throughout the experience.

As well as the cinematic spectacular, guests can navigate round the Tunnel of Doom and Ghoul Graveyard in their vehicle, where many spine-tingling surprises and photo opportunities await.

The most chilling iconic Halloween characters await visitors

Since debuting October 9, the experiences have been ultra-successful – with showings including the iconic Ghostbusters, Insidious and The Conjuring series completely selling out.

Due to the demand, the brains behind Park ‘n’ Party, One Agency Media have added new dates to the devilish drive-thru experience which extends Halloween into November.

As of today (October 26) the following spooky showings are still available, but are on the cusp of a sell out:

  • The Invisible Man – November 2 16:00
  • COCO – November 8 / 15 12:00
  • Night Before Christmas – November 11 16:00
  • Hocus Pocus – November 14 12:00

Tickets cost £35 per car, ScareCity invites you to visit if you dare!
