Trick or treating maybe off the cards this year, but it isn’t stopping children from having bundles of fun this Halloween.
Drive-thru Spooktaculars are the latest trend for this ghoulish season, with a Pennsylvania theme park announcing its latest addition.
Families are being urged to ‘pack up their boos and ghouls’ and head to Sesame Place’s not-so-scary drive-thru Halloween extravaganza, which visitors can safely navigate through in the comfort of their own vehicle.
Once at the park, drive-thru guests will be encouraged to tune into Sesame Place’s very own Howl-O-Ween radio show to ramp up the thrills. As you edge closer to the drive-thru entrance a game of eye-spy with a ghoulish twist will commence, as kids and parents try to find the 13 Halloween-themed objects hidden along the way.
The 30-minute experience promises heaps of giggles, smiles and not so many screams. A 50-foot tunnel incorporating thousands of lights which resembles the night sky is a focal point of the attraction. As well as an abundance of Halloween displays and character floats, where visitors young and old can see their favourite Sesame Street characters dressed up for the spooky season.
Commenting on the new experience Cathy Valeriano President at Sesame Place said: “This is an exciting new way for families to experience Halloween at Sesame Place as we look to provide options with enhanced health and safety measures to visit our park.
“In addition to the drive-thru experience, all of our rides, dines and shops are open during The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular each weekend as well.”
The drive-through extravaganza is featured at the park every Tuesday and Wednesday between 6pm to 9pm from October 6 to October 28.
Elsewhere, Disney have announced plans to make 28,000 staff redundant.
