Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo Postponed

As social distancing and travel restrictions continue to impact the attractions industry, and will do for the foreseeable future, the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo (SEA) has been postponed. The event was originally set to take place in February of next year, however, the dates have now been pushed back to 24-26 May 2021, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

SEA is Saudi Arabia’s first-ever trade event dedicated to its entertainment and amusement industry. The show provides regional and international suppliers with the platform to showcase their products and services to leading industry stakeholders in the Kingdom’s entertainment business.

In a statement online, a SEA spokesperson said, “The safety and wellbeing of everyone who attends our event will always be our top priority. Postponing the event until May ensures that we can deliver a safe experience and provide real value for our customers. We look forward to welcoming you to Saudi Entertainment and Amusement next May when you’ll see more products and innovations to grow your business.”

Last years event welcomed over 120 exhibitors, a number of which were from the UK. Next year’s event will be only the 3rd SEA Expo, and it is expected to grow year on year to meet the increasing demand for attractions in the Kingdom, as it strives to achieve its vision 2030 goal.

The postponement of the event is to allow time for Saudi Arabia’s buyer market to recover, as the attractions industry has bore the brunt of the economic downturn caused by the spread of COVID-19. SEA is taking the relevant steps to ensure that the event will be safe once it returns. The team are closely monitoring the evolving circumstances surrounding COVID-19 by following the recommendations of the relevant authorities.

In the meantime, the event team at SEA are available to contact with any questions or concerns. You can contact them via email by clicking here.
