Sarner International teams up with the BBC to create world-class Doctor Who exhibition

Sarner International teams up with the BBC to create brand-new exhibition in Liverpool.

National Museums Liverpool has announced the world premiere of Doctor Who Worlds of Wonder: Where Science meets Fiction will commence at the World Museum in May 2022.

World-leading experiential design specialist Sarner has meticulously worked on bringing the project to life, which for the first time, gives fans the chance to experience the Doctor’s adventures from an ultra-thrilling, scientific perspective.

From the get-go, guests will be immersed into the scientific universe to discover its pivotal role in the production of the world’s longest running science fiction show.

Sarner has designed eight zones which cover a diverse range of scientific topics – each have been inspired and draw on content from Doctor Who’s almost 60 year run. A range of hands-on immersive experiences and interactive content is set to be on offer at the exhibition.

Stand-outs areas include the TARDIS Tech Room, where guests will discover about time-traveling in the legendary Police Box. Here individuals will learn more about the science behind time travel and whether it really is possible.

Meanwhile fans will enjoy plenty selfie moments inside the Monster Vault, which allows guests to get up close with the weird and wonderful characters throughout the epic Doctor Who series.

Sarner has teased the exhibition will also display rare, behind-the-scenes artefacts from BBC’s very own archive.

Commenting ahead of the exhibition’s premiere, Ed Cookson, Projects Director, Sarner International said:

“For almost 60 years Doctor Who has been exploring mind-bending scientific developments. The iconic characters, monsters, stories, and settings of the television series provide a perfect guide through the wondrous worlds of space, time and science.”

Tickets for Doctor Who Worlds of Wonder: Where Science meets Fiction go on general sale tomorrow (October 15).
