Park Row: London’s Batman Themed Restaurant

The newest entrant in London’s experiential dining scene is a business partnership between Warner Bros. Consumer Products, DC and Wonderland restaurants, called Park Row. Park Row, located on 77 Brewer Street, is a Batman themed-Restaurant hoping to offer an exclusive dining experience to comic book fans.

The experience starts from the customer’s descent into the Batcave which takes them to 5 different dining environments. The entry fee will be around £45 per person. Themed restaurants, in general, have revolved around providing sweet food for those inclined, and Park Row hopes to change that.

Park Row is keen not to focus so much on its Batman theme that it would drive away non-DC fans. James Bulmer, part owner, has previous working experience in London’s three Michelin starred restaurant The Fat Duck. This is a statement of intent, directed at the audience and competitors, shows an inclusive vision for the restaurant.

Covering an 18,000 sq ft area, Park Row includes three bars and 5 different restaurants. One of those restaurants is The Iceberg Lounge designed after Batman’s villain Penguin. It is the largest amongst the 5 and comprises of an international menu.

Park Row designers have been keen on bringing comic and cinema experiences to life with breathtaking artwork. ARD is responsible for the interiors, with their past work including the likes of London’s O2 Dome and 3 World Trade Centre. A true specimen of their expertise is the Monarch theatre.

Park Row’s management couldn’t have picked a better time to inaugurate a themed restaurant in a city clamouring for it. The opening date has strategic importance for the DC film universe as it heads into the new decade. Harley Quinn’s standalone film has just been launched, and later in 2021, the sequel for the immensely awaited The Suicide Squad is about to come out.

The theme part hopes to provide an experience that wraps around all of Batman’s intricate stories of the past 80 or so years under one roof. The organizers have been keen to not leave out any of the popular characters in the franchise. Fans can look forward to seeing Harley Quinn, the Joker, Penguin and many more.

An out-of-the-world experience is only possible because of the years of hard work for the people behind it. According to Derek Bulmer, “This is a project many years in the making, with every detail carefully thought out to deliver a unique experience for our guests. Trends in our sector are moving towards fun, immersive and experiential dining and our aim is to demonstrate this on a grand scale with exceptional food and drink to match.”

The experiential dining wave is upon London, and Park Row is set to take Batman fans by storm. Located at an easily accessible location, Park Row offers something for every member of the family. It offers incredible value for money and your experience is in the hands of people who are proven masters of their game. Don’t make the mistake of excluding yourself from this experience.
