In the rapidly evolving landscape of competitive socialising, Game Volt, a division born out of the creative technologies at CDTR, has unveiled The Arena, a revolutionary 5m x 5m / 16’ x 16’ transparent gaming platform. This cutting-edge creation brings forth multiple technology-enhanced, fast-paced, interactive competitive experiences poised to redefine entertainment at F&B and leisure destinations.
Unlike before, Game Volt has established itself with Supercharged Shuffle, an interactive twist on the classic table shuffleboard. It is currently making waves across Dave & Buster’s locations in North America and leisure destinations worldwide.
The Arena, meticulously designed, aims to elevate competitive socialising in F&B, family, leisure, and retail venues by seamlessly blending physical, tactile gameplay with digital environments. Its compact 5m x 5m / 16’ x 16’ footprint boasts a fully transparent exterior, inviting up to eight players for 10-60 minute sessions. Spectators in the venue can immerse themselves in the action, encouraging them to participate and creating an engaging atmosphere.
Inside The Arena, an array of invisible tracking technologies, interactive LED floors, walls, lidar scanning, and gesture tracking contribute to seven immersive games. These games cater to various preferences, combining mental ability, high energy, and skill-based challenges. With a commitment to constant innovation, The Arena plans to expand its game repertoire to 20 by mid-2024.
With user-friendly and invisible systems, The Arena stands as a self-sufficient marvel, eliminating the need for a dedicated operator. Peter Cliff, the CEO/Founder of Game Volt, envisions The Arena as the epitome of social gaming’s future. Providing Instagrammable moments and set to evolve with IP collaborations, new games, and advancing levels, The Arena promises an experience that beckons guests to return.
Excitingly, The Arena’s debut will be in North America at Dave & Buster’s locations, marking the start of a long-term partnership and an exclusive deal for Family Entertainment Centres.
