At Illusion, we are continuing to improve our business to meet the growing demand for integrated production across the experience sector. As projects become more ambitious and delivery timelines tighten, we are seeing a clear shift in how clients engage with production partners.
To support this, we have introduced a series of strategic developments across our operations, leadership and client engagement model. These changes are designed to position production as an active contributor from the earliest stages of a project, helping to shape ideas as well as deliver them.
Expanding Operational Footprint And Capacity
A key part of this evolution is the acquisition of Southern Van Lines Storage, which significantly expands our operational footprint in South-East London. This development increases our capacity to support larger, longer-term programmes while enabling more efficient, sustainable production processes.
Alongside this, we have invested in one of the industry’s largest 3D printers. This allows us to produce complex forms at scale, while reducing material waste and improving production efficiency.
For clients, these investments provide greater flexibility and control, particularly for projects that require rapid iteration or large-scale fabrication.
Building Leadership And Client Services
We have also strengthened our senior leadership team, reflecting the importance of experience and collaboration in delivering complex projects. Recent appointments include Ellie Muir as Internal Operations Director, Simon McGrath as Client Services Director, Jack Nevill as Projects Director, and Reiss Coleman as Production Director.
In parallel, we have established a dedicated client services function. This team is focused on improving communication, supporting earlier engagement and ensuring alignment between creative intent and delivery from the outset.
This structure allows us to work more closely with agencies, brands and creative teams, helping to reduce friction and improve efficiency across the production process.
Responding To Sector-Wide Change
These developments reflect a broader shift across the events and brand experience sector. Production is no longer confined to the final stages of a project. Instead, it is becoming an integral part of the creative process, informing decisions from day one.
By bringing production expertise into early-stage discussions, we can help unlock ideas, streamline delivery, and maintain the integrity of the original concept. This approach is increasingly important as projects grow in complexity and require closer integration between design and execution.
Recognising Growth And Industry Impact
Our continued investment builds on a period of growth and recognition within the industry. Recent achievements include awards at The Drum Awards, International Confex and the AAA Conference Awards, as well as Event Production of the Year at the Event Production Awards 2026.
These milestones reflect the strength of our team and the value of a joined-up approach to production, where creative thinking and technical delivery are closely aligned.
Introducing A New Brand Identity
To support this next phase, we have also launched a new brand and website. This updated identity reflects our focus on combining creative thinking with expert making, and our role as a partner that connects ideas with delivery.
From our 2.7-acre facility in South-East London, we continue to support projects globally, working across a wide range of sectors and scales.
Looking Ahead
As the experience sector continues to change dynamically, we see increasing demand for production partners who can operate across the full lifecycle of a project. Our recent developments are focused on meeting that demand, creating a business that is connected, scalable and ready to support the next generation of experiences.
