Chimelong Group and AGIBOT have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop what is being described as the world’s first large-scale embodied intelligence theme park in Hengqin.
The project will be located in the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone, a major development area with growing importance for tourism, technology and cultural industries. The agreement, signed on 23 August, brings together Chimelong’s attraction operating experience and AGIBOT’s robotics capability to create a theme park built around embodied intelligence experiences at commercial scale.
For the global attractions industry, the proposal is significant because it moves robotics beyond isolated demonstrations and into a broader park-wide operating concept. Previous deployments of robots in parks and visitor attractions have often been limited to trials, single installations or entertainment pilots. The Hengqin project is being positioned as a multi-scenario destination where embodied intelligence forms part of the main guest experience, operating model and creative direction.
Embodied Intelligence Moves Into Cultural Tourism
Embodied intelligence refers to intelligent systems that can perceive, interact with and respond to physical environments through robotic bodies or connected devices. In a theme park context, this could support character interaction, guided experiences, service roles, show elements, guest engagement, operational assistance and responsive environments.
