Explore the future of maps & wayfinding at IAAPA Expo

We’re heading to the IAAPA Expo in Orlando with not one but two new launches designed to elevate the way guests explore your attraction.

The Attractions.io team is heading to the IAAPA Expo to close out our 2023 events calendar with a bang – we’re launching not one but two new products during the five-day event in Orlando. In addition to exploring the Attractions.io guest experience platform, visitors to booth 4343 will be the first to explore our immersive, nighttime maps and to discover MapLayr, the only MapSDK that’s purpose-built for the attraction industry.

Maps & wayfinding take center stage.

Attractions have unique requirements for maps and wayfinding. You need reliability, accuracy and guaranteed usability in areas where data may be patchy. You need wayfinding that is purpose-built for guests exploring your parks on foot. You need to adapt to guests with accessibility requirements – all while creating an authentic, branded experience that compliments the immersive atmosphere of your attraction. After all, nothing shatters a magical moment better than glitchy tech.

When we were building the mapping engine for Attractions.io, we initially looked for an existing solution that met the demands of the experience industry. And when we couldn’t find one, we built our own.

Today, Attractions.io offers the most advanced mapping solution for location-based businesses anywhere in the world. Used in our core platform to power wayfinding for world-leading Attractions like LEGOLAND, Alton Towers, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and San Diego Zoo, it’s been tried and tested by millions of visitors worldwide.

But we’re not stopping there. Last year, we introduced rotatable, tiltable and zoomable maps for all customers using our core platform. This year we’re launching two new products – just in time for IAAPA.

Embrace the festive season with new nighttime maps.

In time for the festive season, we’re excited to launch our new nighttime maps, previewed earlier this year at Alton Towers Resort in the UK. The new nighttime mode adds dynamic lighting, which mirrors the ambient lighting within your park, to your branded map for a more immersive experience.

Discover MapLayr, the first Map SDK for the attractions industry.

With exploration being key to a positive guest experience, we want all attractions to have access to enterprise-grade wayfinding that meets the unique demands of the Attractions industry.

We’re excited to announce that the maps and wayfinding engine used in our core experience platform will now also be available as a stand-alone SDK. The new MapLayr SDK provides enterprise-grade mapping technology and wayfinding without the time and complexity associated with building map capabilities in-house. It offers multi-level, one-way, and accessible routes that adapt to your venue to guarantee a seamless experience for your guests.
