The ultra-popular Downtown Disney District has expanded, with the ample of magical shops, restaurants and entertainment hubs being extended to Buena Vista Street.

The new facilities are expected to ramp up the thrills at the complex, as guests discover new experiences to kick back and relax after enjoying an action-packed day out at Disney’s two world-class theme parks.

New additions include Smokejumpers Grill, serving up the naughtiest of burgers and fries and Trolley Treats, a sweet tooth heaven – which boasts more candy than Willy Wonka’s legendary Chocolate Factory.

Visitors can also dress to the nines and fine dine at Carthay Circle Lounge or indulge in casual cuisine at Art Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Café – where a range of delicious sandwiches are available al fresco, as guests immerse into the bustling ambience of Downtown Disney District.

Julius Katz & Sons is amongst the new retailers which complete the extension, which will sell an abundance of Disney-themed home décor and seasonal merchandise – new offerings which are set to be ultra-popular to guests at the complex.

The beauty of Downtown Disney District is that is completely free to enter, making it a hotspot for not just Disney fans but California tourists and locals too.

Magical doors still closed at Disneyland California theme parks

Pre-pandemic, Disneyland California welcomed an eyewatering 18 million visitors a year. However, the resorts Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are yet to reopen following the forced closure in March.

The parks have had no choice but to painstakingly await theme park guidelines from the Californian government, making it the world’s last Disney resort to remain closed through COVID 19.

The rides and attractions may not be able to reopen, but the new retailers and dining experiences are guaranteed to sprinkle Disney magic onto California. The Buena Vista Street expansion will open this November, with an exact open date yet to be revealed.
