London-based experience design studio Brave Duck and Robots is joining Experience UK at the UK Pavilion, stand S837, for IAAPA Expo Europe. The studio brings expertise in spatial storytelling and narrative-led visitor journeys across cultural attractions, entertainment destinations and brands.
Brave Duck and Robots works across strategy, creative development, content, production and technology, designing experiences that invite audiences to participate. For Discovery Pompeii Alive, developed by 3DBA and operated by IRGENRe group in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, the team helped shape narrative systems, audience journeys and immersive environments. The project places visitors within the social and human fabric of Pompeii in the days before the eruption.
A different application of the studio’s approach can be found at Piazza inCooperazione for Federazione Trentina della Cooperazione. The permanent civic space can be rearranged for assemblies, exhibitions, performances, dinners and public participation. An automated kinetic system connects movable elements with lighting and audiovisual technology, allowing one environment to serve many community needs. The studio has also supported strategic exploration with PortAventura World and worked with the Royal Ballet and Opera through its Hatchery innovation model.
Across these projects, the emphasis is not on technology as spectacle for its own sake, but on what guests feel, remember and share. At IAAPA Expo Europe, operators, developers, IP owners and cultural institutions can meet Brave Duck and Robots through Experience UK at the UK Pavilion, stand S837, to discuss the stories and audience journeys behind future attractions.
The breadth of settings is significant. A historical experience, a civic gathering place and an innovation programme each ask audiences to participate differently. What connects them is careful attention to human behaviour: where people pause, what they choose to explore and how the environment gives them permission to become part of the story.
