Plans have been revealed for wellbeing resort giant’s expansion into the US.
This month (October 2021) Crain’s reported plans for a $350 million wellness theme park in New York. The destination will be operated by Therme Group, a global-leader in the field, with the development being spearheaded by Robert Hammond, who will bring his wealth of experience from the High Line to the project.
Originating in Germany, Therme Group has already established a shining portfolio of venues all over Europe. The latest is set to open in Manchester UK, and will include an abundance of pools, slides and thousands of palm trees in a sustainable haven.
The resort is also set to offer a full programme of wellbeing activities, therapies and a delicious F&B menu – comprising of healthy and locally sourced produce to tickle everyone’s tastebuds.
The ethos of Therme is make health and wellbeing initiatives accessible to all, by opening destinations close to major cities.
The New York resort will follow the same premise as the Manchester and other Europe destinations. Therme have yet to earmark a site for their expansion in the US, nor revealed when it may open.
Therme’s expansion into North America was revealed earlier this year (July 2021) when it was announced the wellbeing operator had chosen a site at Ontario Place in Toronto to house its first Canadian venue.

“My entire career I have been inspired by the power of innovative urban design, wellness, nature, art, and community building, and Therme is an exciting opportunity to bring these passions together in multiple cities across North America.”
