The Experience UK community have returned to the British Isles after a very successful show at Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo. We had the privilege of hosting our very own Pavilion throughout the three day event, showcasing the best of the best in UK innovation, with products and services which are ready to break-ground in KSA’s experience sector.
We were thrilled to have 17 UK companies join us on the trip, who met with key buyers/investors of the Kingdom’s thriving $64 billion leisure market to secure vital business deals.
Experience UK members Katapult are no stranger in designing cutting-edge themed attractions all over the world, with the event seeing the Derby-based designers signing a major deal with the Al Hokair Group to steer the next generation of themed visitor attractions across the Middle East.
The crowds were also wooed by Engineered Art’s mind blowing RoboThespian, who acted as the star of the show with a range of speech and movements.

The Pavilion acted as a shining beacon of first-class Great British expertise, with Event, Rainbow Productions, tangerine and Simworx also product showcasing. The Deluxe Group, Ventola Projects, ESG, ray hole architects, Squint / Opera, Luminous, DJ Willrich, 7th Sense, Chazbiz and Timberplay also joined us on the spectacular trip to Riyadh.
The show also saw new companies join our community, with Experience UK welcoming Sarner and HB Leisure as new members.
In the midst of all the expo action we even squeezed in the once in a life time opportunity to visit multibillion Giga project, Qiddiya.
Here we met with President of the 334 square kilometre destination (more than two times the size of Walt Disney World) Don Potts, who shared more about the flagship project and the enticing opportunities for UK companies to get involved.
The trip to SEA Saudi marked Experience UK’s first physical outing in over 18 months, and it was a great pleasure to meet with friends all the world once again. We’d like to thank all the UK companies for choosing to exhibit and attend with us, and we cannot wait to see how their fruits of labour will steer the next generation of leisure and entertainment across the Kingdom. Until next time!
