Arcade Arena London Brings Multi-Game Immersive Entertainment To The South Bank

Arcade Arena London will open on Saturday 5 September, bringing three large-scale gaming-led attractions together in a new entertainment venue on the South Bank.

The venue has been developed by Little Lion Entertainment, the company behind The Crystal Maze Experience, which recently marked 10 years in London. The launch represents a significant step for the operator, bringing together established and new formats in one destination designed around live-action gameplay, digital environments and social competition.

Arcade Arena London will house the PAC-MAN Live Experience, Chaos Karts and Alien Invasion. The combined offer gives the venue a broad operational model, with multiple arenas running at the same time and supporting higher throughput across the day. For the visitor attractions sector, it reflects the continued growth of competitive socialising and technology-led play as commercial formats for city-centre destinations.

The concept has already been introduced in Manchester, with the London site positioned as the company’s largest venue to date. Its arrival on the South Bank adds another major attraction to one of the capital’s busiest cultural and leisure districts, an area already known for arts venues, hospitality and high footfall.

Three Game Worlds Under One Roof

The PAC-MAN Live Experience converts the classic arcade title into a physical team challenge. Participants move through an illuminated maze, collect points, avoid ghosts and compete against the clock. For operators and designers, the format shows how established gaming brands can be translated into physical environments while retaining the recognisable rules and visual language that made them popular.

Chaos Karts takes a different approach by combining real electric karts with projected digital tracks. The experience removes the need for headsets, instead using mapped environments, interactive hazards and game-style features to create changing race conditions. This format demonstrates the value of projection-led systems in attractions where movement, safety and repeat play must be balanced.

Alien Invasion completes the launch line-up and will make its debut at the London venue. The new experience places participants within a science fiction adventure involving the Cosmic Cadets, alien characters and mission-led gameplay. It adds a narrative-based group attraction to the venue’s offer, sitting alongside the more recognisable arcade and racing formats.

Together, the three experiences give Arcade Arena a varied content mix. This is important commercially, as venues of this type depend on repeatable formats, group bookings and strong session management. By offering different styles of gameplay under one roof, the operator can appeal to corporate groups, social groups and leisure audiences without relying on a single attraction format.

Operational Value For Immersive Entertainment

Arcade Arena London also includes food and beverage facilities, with sharing dishes, burgers, sides and themed drinks available between games. For B2B audiences, this points to a wider trend in which competitive entertainment venues are designed around secondary spend as well as ticket income.

Tom Lionetti-Maguire, CEO and Founder of Little Lion Entertainment, has described Arcade Arena as the company’s most ambitious move to date, following years of work in participatory entertainment. His comments position the venue as a response to demand for attractions where visitors are active players rather than passive viewers.

For developers, operators and suppliers, Arcade Arena London underlines the growing importance of scalable, multi-format venues in urban leisure. The model brings together intellectual property, digital production, physical set design, gameplay systems, live operations and hospitality within one site.

As London’s experience market becomes increasingly competitive, the launch suggests continued confidence in high-capacity, technology-led attractions that offer structured play, social interaction and clear commercial add-ons.
