A Different View to Reveal Global Museum Futures Research at MuseumNext Forecast Event.
This Original Study Explores the Voices and Visions Shaping Tomorrow’s Museums
At a time when museums worldwide are navigating seismic economic, social, and environmental change, A Different View is set to unveil original, thought-provoking research exploring what lies ahead for the global museum sector. The findings will be presented by co-founder Rosalind Johnson and members of ADV’s senior associates during the MuseumNext Conference on December 17.
Rather than pursuing a single narrative, A Different View’s research brings together the thoughts of 100 cultural leaders across the international museum ecosystem—leaders, innovators, and provocateurs—from both within and beyond the cultural sphere. The study takes an open-ended approach, beginning not with solutions but with questions that challenge convention and invite creative possibility.
During the session, A Different View will present their methodology and findings, followed by a conversation with Nat Edwards, Director General of Royal Armouries who explores some of the emerging themes.
This collaborative exchange embodies the project’s ethos: that the most exciting futures emerge when curiosity and imagination take centre stage.
In a sector often preoccupied with uncertainty and constraints, A Different View’s research invites a shift in perspective—toward abundance, optimism, and shared creativity.
Join A Different View at MuseumNext on December 17 to explore the insights shaping the next wave of global museum transformation.
