The winners of the Annual MENALAC Awards have been announced!
All the glitz and glamour of usual awards ceremonies may have been thrown out the window for 2020, but that didn’t stop world-renowned professionals from the Middle East’s and North Africa’s most-loved attractions coming together to celebrate the crème de la crème of leisure and entertainment experiences in the MENA region.
The 3rd Annual MENALAC Awards took place virtually this week (November 10), with MENA’s hottest attractions including Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld hoping to scoop the top prizes.
The in-person spectacular may have been off the cards, but that didn’t stop the incredible event being bigger and better than ever for 2020, coinciding with MENA’s flourishment on the world experience stage – faster than any other region in the world.
For the first time ever 23 prestigious awards were up for grabs – with shortlists including theme parks, waterparks, family entertainment centres, cultural attractions and everything in between. So who did strike gold?
Best Theme Park – Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi

Best Waterpark – Yas Waterworld
Best CSR Program – Speedy Recovery – Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
Best Unique Visitor Attraction – Qasr Al Watan Abu Dhabi

Commenting on the magnificent online celebration Rosa Tahmaseb, Secretary General of the Council said: “We are absolutely thrilled with how the Gala awards went for everyone. Our intention was to bring our industry together and give them a chance to celebrate one another’s achievements.
“As we moved further and further into the ceremony it was clear that the MENA Leisure and Attractions industry was ready to remember why we always have been and still remain at the forefront with so many of our amazing attractions and experiences.”
We hope to see the annual MENALAC Awards will return in person for 2021.
