Universal Orlando Resort unveils first-look of hotly-anticipated VelociCoaster

Universal has unveiled a first look of the hottest attraction coming to Orlando in 2021.

In Summer, Universal Orlando Resort revealed a new Jurrassic World attraction is set to be developed at the Islands of Adventure theme park – and has now released a ‘Vehicle Reveal’ of what adrenaline junkies can expect by boarding the sophisticated blue and white coaster.

Through cutting-edge technology, exhilarating features, and life-size dinosaurs the VelociCoaster is designed to immerse riders into a thrilling dinosaur hunt at exhilarating speeds of 70mph.

Features include:

A 360-degree barrel over above the legendary Islands of Adventure Lagoon

More than 10 pulse racing seconds elevated from seats – immersing guests into thrilling sensations of feeling weightless

A zero-gravity inverted fall from 100 feet

Universal’s steepest drop at 80 degrees

Two toe-curling launches, the fastest reaching exhilarating speeds of 70mph in just over two seconds

Since construction began earlier this year the spotlight has been on the coaster, with guests at Universal’s Islands of Adventure spotting the vehicle’s coasters on the tracks numerous times through testing protocols.

Universal has teased more information about the VelociCoaster will be unveiled early next year – before the official launch in Summer 2021.

In other Universal news, an open date has finally been set for Japan’s Super Nintendo World.
