Tokyo theme park offering visitors the chance to work from Ferris wheel

A theme park in Japan is offering perhaps the most bizarre (but most thrilling) workstation ever.

Through the COVID 19 pandemic many employees around the world have been subject to different office environments, with social distancing measures in place and many asked to work from home.

However Tokyo’s Yomiuri Land has stepped up the unusualness of 2020 working life and is offering visitors the chance to transport their office to the theme park. Guests will be able to choose their new work setting from a variety of the park’s attractions, including the poolside or Ferris wheel.

While on the Ferris wheel, guests will be able spice up their job and indulge in panoramic views of the theme park while answering work emails or hosting virtual meetings through the one-hour time slots on offer.

The Amusement Workation experience launches this week (October 15), which is available daily for £14 for one person and discounted at £26 for two people between 9am and 4pm.

The unique theme park package come with a desk and chair, with workers needing to bring their own computer and other office equipment. The package will also include free WiFi and plug sockets.

Work hard, play harder

Once clocked out, Amusement Workation users will be able to let off some steam at Yomuiuri Land’s various rides and attractions, which includes a loop rollercoaster, a haunted house and go-karting track.

The unique work setting is expected to be hugely popular. Yomuiri Land is just 30 minutes by train from central Tokyo, connecting the capital’s 14 million people to the experience.
