The USA’s longest mountain coaster opens at Winter Olympics facility

The USA’s longest mountain coaster has just opened, embarking thrill seekers on a multi-sensory journey of historical bobsleighers in the iconic Winter Olympics.

The new ADG Mountainsides coaster features at New York’s Olympic facility, transporting guests to the nostalgia of the iconic Winter games with the original bobsled track running alongside.

The coasters track engineers designed the 7000-foot-long ride to replicate the authentic 1980s track, with a few additional 360-degree turns and drops implemented to ramp up the adrenaline rushes.

As guests indulge in the enticing twists and turns, they will enjoy a captivating commentary by John Morgan, who many fans will recognise from the classic Winter Olympics comedy Cool Runnings.

With speeds of 25 miles per hour possible, riders will be able to control the speed of their two-seater cart as they are immersed into pulse-racing feelings of a professional bobsleigher.

Commenting on the exhilarating new attraction Andrew Cuomo, New York Governor said: “The Cliffside Coaster is one of our latest and most thrilling additions to the Olympic Regional Development Authority venues, and part of our ongoing effort to modernize the entire Mt. Van Hoevenberg complex said Governor Cuomo of NYS.

“This revitalisation is transforming the complex into a year-round provider of excitement and entertainment for both athletes and families, which will attract more summer visitors and provide a critical boost to local businesses as we work to build back better.”

The coaster is now open for $55 for a single rider and $65 for a duo adventure.

Elsewhere, a Legendary Friends experience has opened in Chicago.
