RWS Global Appoints Matt Conover As Divisional President, Global Production

We are pleased to share that Matt Conover has joined RWS Global as Divisional President, Global Production, a newly established role created to support our continued growth across live entertainment, sports, theatre, cruise, destinations, brand activations and visitor experiences.

Matt joins us after 37 years with The Walt Disney Company, including more than 25 years as an executive producer leading large-scale live entertainment projects across international markets. His appointment strengthens our operational leadership as we continue to deliver live moments across more than 50 countries.

In his new role, Matt will oversee production strategy, planning and company-wide execution. He will work closely with our creative, business and operational teams to support projects from early development through to final delivery.

For RWS Global, this appointment is an important step as the scale and complexity of our work continues to increase. Our clients need creative thinking supported by strong production systems, reliable planning and disciplined delivery. Matt’s experience adds further depth to that capability.

Deep Experience Across Live Entertainment

Matt began his Disney career in 1989 as a stage technician at Walt Disney World before moving through leadership roles across Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney Imagineering.

Most recently, he served as Vice President, Disney Live Entertainment at Disneyland Resort, where he led a team of more than 400 producers, directors, designers and technical professionals. His work has covered productions across the United States, Asia and Europe, giving him extensive experience in delivering live entertainment across different markets, cultures and operating environments.

Matt’s background is particularly relevant to RWS Global because our work spans a wide range of sectors. Every project brings its own production requirements, whether it is a theme park show, sports activation, cruise entertainment programme, theatrical production or destination experience. His ability to lead complex teams across multiple settings will support our continued international delivery.

Supporting Scale Without Losing Experience Quality

As RWS Global grows, our focus remains on delivering work that is creative, operationally strong and consistent for clients and audiences. Matt’s role will help strengthen the systems, processes and collaboration needed to support that growth.

His career has been shaped by the long-term operation of live experiences, not only their opening moments. That knowledge is valuable for a company delivering at scale. Large entertainment programmes must be built to perform repeatedly, across teams, locations and changing audience expectations.

Our interim CEO, Jake McCoy, has noted that Matt brings a rare understanding of how major experiences are maintained over time while protecting quality. That perspective will support our teams as we continue to expand our production slate.

A Broader Contribution To The Industry

Matt’s production experience also extends beyond parks, resorts and cruise lines. He has contributed to two Super Bowl halftime shows, NBA All-Star Games and live activations with the Savannah Bananas across the United States.

Alongside his production career, Matt has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Educational Theatre Foundation since 2017 and spent nearly a decade on the Educational Theatre Association’s board. He holds a BFA in Technical Theatre from SUNY Purchase and will be based at our New York City headquarters.

For RWS Global, Matt’s appointment reflects our commitment to building strong teams, supporting world-class delivery and continuing to grow as an international partner for live entertainment and experience production. His leadership will help us serve clients across sectors while keeping production quality, collaboration and guest experience at the centre of our work.
