Paultons Park gearing up to unveil £12 million Tornado Springs expansion

A leading UK theme park is set to unveil a major expansion this April.

Paultons Park is gearing up to launch its latest theme land Tornado Springs during the Easter Holidays.

The four-acre expansion was originally slated to open in May 2020, however due to the pandemic’s first national lockdown the park struggled to finishing the building works, ultimately delaying the grand launch.

Commenting on the expansion’s postponement last year, Richard Mancey, Managing Director of Paultons Park, said: “We know how disappointing this postponement will be, to both our guests and our staff. After eighteen months of hard work it is very hard to accept that the attraction will not open this year, particularly when it is so close to completion.

“Everyone who has been involved in bringing Tornado Springs to life has poured their heart and soul into creating a truly spectacular experience, so rest assured it will be worth the wait.”

Costing £12 million to design and deliver, Tornado Springs will feature eight new rides and experiences.

The land will also include the first spinning coaster of its kind in the UK, titled the Storm Chaser – which has spectacularly been manufactured by the world-acclaimed MACK Rides.

As well as providing tantalising thrills, Paulton’s Park’s fifth land is set to encapsulate the bustles of a fictional 1950s midwestern town. A Route 83 Diner and Al’s Shop and Service are set to be popular retailtainment and F&B hotspots launched as part of the expansion.

MK Themed Attractions and The Leisure Expert Group have collaborated closely with the amusement park to bring the key visuals to life.

Tornado Springs joins 70 world-class rides and attractions at the Hampshire – based theme park, including the home to Peppa Pig World.

The expansion is set to launch on April 12, to coincide with the government’s green light to reopen theme parks across England.
