LEGOLAND Windsor Resort has launched a series of magical Christmas experiences, which promise ample of festive fun for all the family.
As England’s second national lockdown came to end (December 2) there was much uncertainty if visitor experiences around the nation would be able to reopen. However, much to the joy of Merlin Entertainments, LEGOLAND’s operators, LEGOLAND Windsor was given the greenlight to reopen under Tier 2 guidelines for Windsor and Maidenhead.
A dragon shaped Christmas tree made of 150,000 LEGO bricks is a centrepiece of the festivities, with the whole resort being transformed into a spectacular winter wonderland with plenty of festive lights and snow.
As expected, Santa Clause is at the heart of LEGO’s winter offerings – who can be seen flying around the resort on his sleigh to spread the Christmas cheer amongst visitors.
Santa Clause will make various appearances through the day
The resort’s Heartlake City is also featuring a spectacular Holiday Harbour Lights Show – which features plenty of seasonal performances, along with a special appearance from Santa himself through 15-minute showings.
LEGO Friends have also been polishing their vocal cords and welcome visitors to join as they entertain the park’s guests with a series of carol singing.
And it wouldn’t be Christmas without a pantomime, with LEGOLAND Windsor unveiling Oh Yes It Is performed by the resort’s most famous puppets. The fun-filled showcase housed at the DUPLO Valley Theatre will be the resort’s first social distancing pantomime.
Commenting on the magnificent Christmas offerings, Karen Glassey, Operations Director at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort said: “This year we’re pulling out all the stops to make Christmas extra special for families.
“We’ve been working closely with Father Christmas and his elves and they are looking forward to spreading some festive cheer and saying hello to guests from a safe distance on their new sleigh.”

And the attractions aren’t stopping at LEGOLAND Windsor, the resort is set to open LEGO MYTHICA in 2021.
