Grande Experiences Unveils New Immersive Art Installations at THE LUME Venues

Grande Experiences, renowned for its innovative approach to arts and culture, continues to redefine immersive experiences with the opening of two significant exhibitions at its permanent venues, THE LUME Melbourne and THE LUME Indianapolis. These installations enrich the cultural landscape of their respective cities and signify a pivotal advancement in how audiences engage with art.

At THE LUME Melbourne, visitors are now treated to “Leonardo da Vinci—500 Years of Genius,” an exhibition that offers a comprehensive look at the Renaissance master’s myriad accomplishments. Highlighting this experience are the original pages from da Vinci’s Codex Atlanticus, which provide rare insights into the mind of a genius whose interests spanned various disciplines, from art to engineering and science.

This exhibition doesn’t just showcase historical artefacts; it brings da Vinci’s inventions to life through full-scale replicas crafted by Italian artisans. It features the world’s only 360º replica of the Mona Lisa and utilises cutting-edge AI and VR technologies to create a fully immersive educational experience. Visitors can also enjoy a Renaissance-themed culinary experience at Caffè Medici, making their journey through the Italian Renaissance as palatable as it is enlightening.

Bruce Peterson, founder of THE LUME Melbourne, encapsulates the exhibition’s essence, highlighting how it had amazed everyone with the sheer vastness that da Vinci’s expertise and curiosity brought.

Over in Indianapolis, in partnership with The Dalí Museum in St Petersburg, Florida, THE LUME presents “Dalí Alive.” This experience dives deep into the surreal world of Salvador Dalí, featuring four original watercolours from the Indianapolis Museum of Art’s collection. The exhibition is designed to be a multi-sensory journey through Dalí’s life, showcasing his early years in Spain, his influential time in America, and his profound impact on global culture.

“Dalí Alive” is not merely an art show; it explores Dalí’s identity, showcasing his flamboyant personality and innovative artistic techniques on a grand scale. Steve Smith, CEO of Grande Experiences, remarks on the exhibit’s immersive format, suggesting that Dali would create works in this exciting and innovative way if he were alive today.

Grande Experiences has established itself as a global leader in creating and delivering immersive art experiences. With exhibitions displayed 250 times across more than 180 cities worldwide, the company has captivated over 23 million people. Each installation is more than just an exhibition; it is a gateway into the minds of the greatest artists in history.

Additionally, THE LUME venues are designed to be adaptable and capable of transforming to host various events, from cultural showcases to sports and wellness events. This versatility speaks to Grande Experiences’ innovative approach to cultural engagement, making art accessible and engaging for a broad audience.

As Grande Experiences celebrates the 100th display of its acclaimed “Van Gogh Alive” exhibition in Tokyo, the openings of “Leonardo da Vinci—500 Years of Genius” and “Dalí Alive” at THE LUME venues mark a new chapter in immersive art experiences. These exhibitions honour the legacy of two of history’s most revered artists and pave the way for future expansions globally. With ongoing plans to establish new LUME venues worldwide, Grande Experiences continues to shape the future of art appreciation, making it a dynamic and interactive exploration that resonates with contemporary audiences.
