Waukesha, Wisconsin has welcomed a new 74,000 square foot entertainment complex. A former cinema and outdoor sporting goods store, the Urban Air Adventure Park is set to transform the neighbourhood.
The new family entertainment complex contains a dual-level go-kart course, a Sky Rider zip line, a spin and flip bumper car attraction, a high hanging ropes course, climbing walls, tubes playground, and a trampoline park.
“When you go through the park, it’s all about the wow factor,” said Milwaukee native Kent Cisewski, a first-time franchisee/owner in the 150-park chain of Urban Air centres across the country. Kent is a former Disney executive, responsible for the opening of many attractions throughout Disney World, and elsewhere.
Kent says that his background helped him prepare the Waukesha facility, into a destination that both staff and guests will find special. “The company runs on Disney expectations, and Disney perceptions on getting people to believe what you believe,” he said. “When you get people to believe what you believe, and there is an emotional tie-in, and their service is exceptional and their friendliness is over the top, that’s what will get people to love the park. This will be the benchmark for Urban Air.”
Jackie Hoegger, Urban Air’s corporate advertising and marketing representative, echoed Kent’s vision. “The owners … believe in the full-guest amazing experience,” she said. “He has brought his Disney World wisdom to the table for Urban Air, and I can tell you that after (assisting in the) opening of 100 parks, this is the most stellar, most beautiful park.”
The Sky Rider zipline hoists guests up into the air, before taking them on a course around the ceiling of the park, above the other visitors and attractions. This attraction is for anyone from the age of 2 upwards. The warrior course combines trapeze bars, ropes, pylons and more to create an obstacle course like no other. Other attractions in the park include a dodgeball court, balance beam, and soft play area.
Aside from the parks numerous attractions, the FEC contains meeting rooms for parties and corporate gatherings, a 7,000 square foot patio area at the rear of the centre, and a dining area with an on-site café.

The park makes its debut this coming Saturday, and by the look of things, it is going to be extremely popular with people of all ages. In an effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the bathrooms at the park are completely touch-free, with sinks featuring soap, water, and hand dryers all in one fixture. This could be something we see rolled out worldwide in the future.
