CGI images unveil what to expect at world’s first Game of Thrones Studio Tour

After being given the green light by council officials in September many of us have been gripped to our seats as we await more news on the world’s first Game of Thrones Studio Tour.

And now Linen Mill Studios Banbridge, the site where the Tour will be based, has released detailed images of what to expect throughout the attraction which is set to launch in 2021.

A spectacular array of authentic costumes will be on display at the Winterfell Hall

Throughout 110,000 square feet, the tour will encompass sets including the iconic Winterfell Great Hall and the Dragon Stone, as well as featuring a multitude of original props and costumes used by the flagship series’ legendary characters including Jon Snow, Arya Stark and Daenerys Targaryen.

Guests can immerse up close to the legendary Throne Room at Dragon Stone

Taking inspiration from other internationally acclaimed studio tours, the visitor experience will also showcase behind-the-scenes secrets of how the fantasy series was brought to life on the screens.

With a budget of £24 million, the Tour is expected to acquire an eyewatering £600 million in revenue for Northern Ireland annually by attracting 600,000 visitors a year. This would make the Game of Thrones experience the third most visited attraction in the country, just behind Giants Causeway and HMS Belfast.

Guests will journey through to the King’s Landing

Linen Mill Studios is a fitting home for the tour, having been the prime location for Game of Thrones filming from 2011 to 2018.

Andrew Webb, Managing Director at Linen Mill Studios said:  “The authenticity of the Game of Thrones Studio Tour at Linen Mill Studios is the essential connection with the show, which has been such a part of the Banbridge area for so many years, and will ensure that the unparalleled craftsmanship and artistic magic of all those who worked on it lives on for many years to come.

“We feel privileged to be custodians of the only Game of Thrones Studio Tour anywhere in the world and are determined to make sure the Studio Tour accurately reflects the entertainment, drama and quality for which the show is renowned.”

An abundance of original props including the dining table at the Hall of Winterfell will be on display
