In recent months we have seen events and attractions adapt to the ‘new normal’, allowing for social distancing measures to be followed, and strict cleaning regimes to be implemented. The annual ‘Jurassic Quest’ event, held at the Duke Energy Center in Cincinnati, is one of those to adapt. The event will now be a drive-thru experience, taking place at Coney Island.
“Our exhibit has been transformed into an interactive drive-thru experience, featuring over 70 moving and roaring dinosaurs, as well as our 50-foot-long Megalodon,” officials said. “Although the drive-thru experience means you’ll stay safe inside your vehicle, you’ll still need to watch out for the swinging tail of our 80-foot-long Spinosaurus.”
The exhibit will now include an online audio tour, taking guests throughout the exhibit where they will encounter some of the largest dinosaurs known to man. Guests to the Cincinnati attraction will be amongst the first in the country to experience the thrill of ‘Jurassic Quest’, as they are led on a prehistoric safari.
“Be the first to go on a quest with our online audio tour that will take you throughout our exhibit where you will encounter some of the largest dinosaurs to ever roam the earth, and some of the eeriest marine creatures to ever lurk the ocean’s depths,” officials said.
‘Jurassic Quest’ will have strict measures in place to provide a clean, and safe environment. Guests are to remain inside their vehicles whilst wearing masks, in the event that they leave their vehicle in the areas that allow it. There are restrooms on-site, with a ‘Dino-Store’ where guests can purchase themed items. Social distancing rules will be in place, ensuring that guests and crew are safe to enjoy the event.
The ‘Jurassic Quest’ drive-thru experience will be running from August 21-30. Tickets will cost $49 per standard vehicle and $80 for passenger vehicles that seat 9 to 15 people. Tickets must be purchased online in advance, where guests will pick a date and time slot.
Last week it was announced that the Roseland waterpark in New York was transforming into a drive-in music venue. The waterpark has reimagined the live music experience, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy live shows while following social distancing protocols.
It has also been announced that a drive-thru haunted house experience is coming to Orlando. Guests will drive down the ‘Haunted Road’, experiencing fun and freights from the safety of their own car.
