Having substantially increased their floor space by over 30,000 square feet, the Barona Casino & Resort now boasts a 400-room hotel, a luxury spa, restaurants, a golf course, and of course, a gaming casino.
To give casino visitors that added experience, a digital dome experience has been installed in the casino entrance, which gives the impression that you are looking outside through a huge skylight. The dome can be controlled by a time of day controller to simulate sunrise and sunset, a secondary controller also allows secondary effects to be added such as rainfall.
Designed by Fluid Sound, a San Diego-based design and installation company, the 40 foot dome is filled with two stacked NEC digital laser projectors with Navitar custom 180-degree fisheye lenses powered by a 7thSense Delta Media Server and auto-alignment software from Scalable Display Technologies.
